  • Friendship and Fun in Our Community

We meet at 10.00am every 4th Tuesday, except December, at the Mairangi and Castor Bays Presbyterian Church, 10 Penzance Road, Mairangi Bay. At our meetings which are two hours long including a morning tea break, we keep business matters and housekeeping to a minimum. A typical meeting consists of welcome, notices, a 10 minute mini talk, morning tea then a guest speaker for about an hour, which more often than not is an audio/visual presentation.

But our fellowship is not confined to meetings. We have outings to places of interest, a mid-year special lunch and of course a Christmas lunch. Also, a highlight of the year is a traditionally cooked roast dinner and  and film at lunch time at Ryders in Avondale. Ten months of the year on the first Sunday of the month some of us meet for lunch at the Bays Club. On the second Monday of the month we meet at the Bark & Brew Cafe in Browns Bay for morning coffee at 10.00 am. We also have a monthly lunch get together at Fairview Village. Other activities can include Mahjong, Trivial Pursuits, Quiz afternoons etc. A Book Club is expected to be launched soon. However, the biggest reward you get from joining our club is the friendship you will receive.

Over the decades, we believe we have evolved into a friendly welcoming hub of our community. We take immense pride in fostering lifelong friendships, providing a platform for recreational activities that spark happiness, and organizing social outings that celebrate our shared experiences and the natural beauty of our local area.

NB Next meeting Tuesday 23rd June is replaced by the lunch at Brighams

Please also be aware that there will be no lunch meetings at Fairview Village during the months of May and June this year

Please also note that the quiz afternoon scheduled for 14th May has been rescheduled to 14th July.

Congratulations to Past-president Harry Hepple who was 100 years old on 13th May!
